Hawzah News agency (Beirut, Lebanon) – Shaykh Muhammad Yazbek, Head of Hezbollah's Religious Council, received a group of prominent Iranian clerics from the Northern Province of Khorasan.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the issue of Palestine and emphasized on the liberation of occupied Jerusalem from the Zionist regime.
In a separate meeting, Shaykh Abdullah al-Jabri, Secretary General of Lebanon's Al-Ummah Movement, met with an Iranian delegation headed by Hujjat al-Islam Ali Khademi, Head of the Office for Islamic Propagations in Iran's Northern Khorasan province.
This seminary delegation thanked Shaykh al-Jabri for his efforts in promoting Islamic unity and asserted, "The Islamic world is at the risk of division and disintegration. We all must fight these threats since every Muslim will have to face their dire consequences in the future."
Al-Jabri further urged expanding cooperation among Muslims in order to avoid bias or violence when faced with takfirism; takfiri thoughts are imposing a great threat on the history, present as well as the future of Islamic civilization; "We need to tackle the issue of extremism through developing education, dialogues and unity," Shaykh al-Jabri added.
